Development checks in Clermont

Every child grows at their own pace. At well visits we ask about talking, moving and playing, so a delay can be found early.

What we ask

A hand pushes a wooden toy car across a table, a parent's hand nearby

Before some checkups we ask you to fill in a short questionnaire about what your child does now. During the visit we watch your child play and talk.

If something seems slow

We talk it through with you first. Sometimes we check again at the next visit. Sometimes we refer your child to a specialist or an early intervention program.

Questions about development checks

My toddler is not talking much yet. Should we wait?

Do not wait for the next checkup. Call us and we will set a time to talk it through.

Do we need a referral to see a specialist?

Many plans need one. We send it and tell you what to expect at the first visit.
